I think "coding questions are for newbies" is a bit narrow minded. I'm not saying I love the way Big Tech does coding interviews, but this is the way they do it, and it's a fact. At the end of the day, you have 45m to make an important business decision for the company and somebody's life, so nothing you'll do in 45m will be perfect. This is true for all levels, so I had to go through the process myself as a Senior Staff Engineer
